The Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal has been struck by a deadly earthquake on April 25th 2015, which resulted in more than 5,000 people losing their life and more than 11,000 people being severely injured. Now millions of people do not have access to clean drinking water, food, health care services and medicine, tents and blankets to spend their days and nights after losing their homes.

In the aftermath of #NepalQuake, millions of people are suffering from hunger. They have nothing to eat. They are desperately asking for help from governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as from people around the world. Nepali people need food in order to survive.

Team for Nature and Wildlife (TNW) in coordination with GYFAL has launched the Let's Feed #NepalQuake Victims initiative.

  • º Through this initiative, TNW aims to serve the people severely affected by the earthquake by providing them with food so they can survive after this natural disaster.

  • º GYFAL, as an official participant in UN Secretary-General’s Zero Hunger Challenge, is working towards tackling food security issues around the world. With “Let's Feed #NepalQuake Victims”, GYFAL extends its action at local level in this humanitarian crisis in Nepal.

TNW and GYFAL are coordinating the onsite intervention and distribution of food to the people in need, by:

º Collecting food and other in-kind donations for the communities in need

º Setting community kitchens in affected areas

º Cooking and serving food with the support of young volunteers

TNW and GYFAL are kindly requesting friends from across the world to support this initiative with donations that will help provide food to millions of hungry people in Nepal:
